According to statistics, there are at least 23 suicides a day in South Africa. That is one every hour.

70% of these cases had a mental health disorder.

I was faced with the reality in 2019. As a young mother, business women and wife I tried to keep up with the pace of the demands and challenges life brought to me. During a period of six years, I neglected my health and sleeping patterns as well as my gym and exercise routine and as a result I found myself in a hole of darkness and mental challenges that brought helpless thoughts to my mind. I knew I needed help, but I was unsure where to go.

The Grace of God found me in the valley and I came to really understand that His grace is sufficient for every day and every situation. 

I found the right medical treatment and I made some serious decisions to slow down the pace which was leading me to a position of burn-out.

Exercise played a very big role during this time and I fully agree with scientific research that a healthy brain needs regular exercise.

I’m also 100% convinced that we were not planted on this earth only to exist and survive, but to have a life more abundantly. We need to embrace life – it is a wonderful gift.

I’ve got a compassion for people who face the reality of mental health issues or depression.

 

Spinning A Vision is a project and a platform with the vision to help people finding life again in and through their difficult times and from there on maintaining a healthy lifestyle – emotionally, physically and spiritually.

The programme will consist of 3 aspects :

• Spinning classes with great uplifting music with the goal to uplift, energise and encourage. 

• The help of a counsellor who will pray with you and support you through various sessions

• A network of people who will help you to grow and become a healthy individual

​

Spinning-A-Vision will be funded by donations. 

​

The sole purpose of the donations is to help others and take hands as we walk this path of life by building each other up – rooted and grounded in the love of God that surpasses all understanding.
